Germination

The percentage of seeds producing normal seedlings. Export forage seed is typically ≥90% (≥92% premium).

Purity

The proportion of pure seed versus other crop seed, weed seed and inert matter — higher is cleaner.

Moisture

Kept ≤12% so seed stores and ships without losing viability.

Dodder

A parasitic weed seed many countries restrict; a dodder-free declaration supports phytosanitary clearance.
